Hi Denny i think i have told everyone this but try a touch of paint and some decking and it does not matter how big your backyard maybe. mine is not that big and i've got decking a sandpit plus an area for a swing for my two children and a small flower bed. we also put some trellis up on the back wall for some privacy hope this gives you some help and ideas :D

Hi Denny. My garden resembles a building site at the moment but I still managed to brighten it up with cheery flowers in planters. Bright colours take your attention away from the ugly bits you don't like!Have a look for inspiration in the library. There are lovely pix in books for even the smallest space. :D

I would like to say thank you to the ladies who offered ideas on how to cheer up my drab back yard. Your ideas have been duely noted and the planning will begin very soon. I intend to have a new back yard in the near future, somewhere for my grand-daughter to play, when she is old enough. thanks again.

Hi

I too need some advice on sprucing up my backyard. It is pretty tiny though unfortunately, around 4m by 3m in some places, and is on a slope. I was thinking of some decking but then thought that might make it look even smaller(?). Rendering the wall and painitng was also an idea. More pointers would be appreciated.

Cheers
