Hi guys. I've just read beck though my rantings yesterday and i want to apologise Embarrassed . It sounded awful. I honestly love my life and wouldn't change it (except for Steph's Wink )!!!! As long as I can get through all my chores, I'm a happy bunny Smile it's when I've had a day off and not accomplished all my jobs. I got a lot done yesterday and actually caught my boys to give me a hand before they did a flit Wink Jill x

Hi guys. Yes BB internet is deffo the way forward Wink Not that I'm gaining anything from making that statement, you understand!Normal dial internet access thru the telephone line can be as fast as 56kbs (kilobites per second) but downloading can take forever. It also ties up the phoneline unless you have a secondary line for the internet. BB is available thru the digital cable modem. It is always on, so you have no waiting to connect and no bootings off after 2 hours. There are 3 speeds currently available:- 128 kbs at 14.99 monthly; 512 kbs at 24.99 monthly and 1 megabite at 49.99 monthly. A company called Barron McCann actually supply BB. the installation package arrives at your home independently to the digi cable modem. All the installation for BB is, apart from the digibox, is a 22metre cable and an ethernet card. I don't actually work in the BB dept (far too technical for me) but if you want to know more look on the askntl.com website and put in your postcode. From there you'll be able to read all about it and decide if it's the option for you. Hope all this bumph helps :D JIll x

Aw Maggie, I know what you mean, babes :( . Housework is a nightmare.Such a thankless task. On my day off (must have been a man to call it a day OFF:eek Smile I try to conquer the world on my own..........The bathroom, kitchen, living/dining room, 3 bedrooms....Then there's my mother's washing and ironing (and mine) her shopping and usual appointments for either doctor, dentist, hairdresser, optician and audiologist. Back to prepare a meal for the big white hunter who's done a 12 hour day shift in a noisy factory (and will complain if I give him chicken "again" Wink ) Then there's the usual taxi service ferrying sons one and two to different parts of the universe at the same time - then to pick them up and maybe take the odd friend home who they've picked up along the way "Mum will take you home..she won't mind" Mad Then home to "what's for supper?"...my look says it all............ Son no. 1 dared to complain that there were no socks in his drawer...."Look in the airing cupboard" I growled. "Didn't think of that" says the dopey 16 year old. When asking him how he thought the socks got off the bedroom floor into the washing basket, then from there into the washing machine onto the line, them mysteriously back into his drawer..he replies " I thought there was a sock fairy..". Well I must go, as it's my "Day Off" :D . Hysteria is setting in already. Son's 1 and 2 have made their own breakfast, husband is still sleeping (well he's on 12 hour nights tonight)Soon son No. 2 will be off for the day on his bike and appear later on this evening "starving". Son No. 1 is apparently doing homework all day........Must go before it's bedtime!!!! Have a lovely day :D
I love them all really Wink

I'm never going to grow old Wink I may be 42 next month but I'm still 16 at heart :D . Funny enough, I never think about having enough milk in as I hardly use it - it's my kids Eek THEY are the ones who say "don't drink all the milk"..."keep enough for my cereal in the morning..". What I WILL admit to is keeping things "as they may be useful one day." This drives Steve up the wall.My mother has a houseful of junk that she has saved for that very reason - and they have nevr come in useful! She tells me she'll be "up there" looking down at me one day, laughing at me sorting through all her junk that never came in useful................

Deeman. When I'm "on a mission", I just check out the cheapest places I can find. Living near to the seaside I scour all the nick nack shops and usually find what I find to make what I want. Last yer I found alarm clocks for 60p. I bought a dozen and my son took al the internal workings out for me. These were easily resused to make my cd clocks. I imagine that the clockwork bits and pieces would be available in model shops too. Happy hunting Smile Jill x

I am SOOOO excited. After 23 years at living at no. 150 - I am finally going to have my garden done by a "proper" gardener :D Steve on the other hand couldn't be less interested :( What I would like is a website/sites where I can see pix of small gardens to give me ideas. I've tried typing "ideas for small gardens" and "courtyard gardens" in search engines but all I seem to find are reams and reams of writing - no pictures. It's about 15' x 25' at the widest and I need an easy maintenance theme. I'm going for paviers and gravel. I'll have borders as I love colour but I'll also have my planters. any ideas would be greatfully received. many thanks Wink Jill x

Hi there Deeman. If you have a look in the Get Crafty thread, there are quite a few ideas posted in there about what different people have done with their unwanted/failed c.d's. I made clocks out of some and a mobile. Jill Smile

G'day Janet Smile Hope this fine and sunny day greets you well. We read you have arthritis, a few of my friends have that so I can appreciate how dibilitating it is (spelling may be a bit iffy there Wink ). On your "Good" days, make the most of our beautiful country and have a walk amonsgst the trees and plants. The smell of new mown grass and freshly fallen rain is so uplifting :D . Enjoy your trip to Emmerdale country. Hope this inspires you to look forward to another lovely day Smile Take care.
