Thanks Jacqui, I'll try those suggestions tonight when the internet isn't so slow. This is my lunch break and it is taking ages. Smile Tracey

Ann and Bill firstly you have to decide what you want from your garden. If your children are young are they going to want a climbing frame, swing or slide these take up lots of room (I know from experience Eek). Do the children need space for football - if they do you need grass but not a manicured lawn your rough grass would be perfect with some of the weeds removed. Do you want a patio/barbeque area. Do you LIKE gardening or do you just want somewhere to hang the washing :D and have a wander round. When I moved in here I drew my thoughts onto a piece of paper and just worked on one bit at a time. It is still evolving - last year we added my son's climbing frame. Our garden is only 40ft long by 15ft wide :D It all seems to fit. Tracey

Booh just read your comments. I too had a male instructor when I was learning to drive. I don't see why driving has to be so competative and agressive. I think that is why I am so nervous. I know people say that practice is the only cure but when you stall the car at traffic lights and have drivers honking their horns because they have missed the lights I find that very unnerving and not helpful at all. How am I supposed to get confident at driving if I keep getting bullied on the roads by agressive drivers and yes I agree they are not always men!! Tracey :(

Deborah that is exactly how I feel about driving - I can but don't like to. My husband is very understanding and doesn't insist that I drive anywhere but I think he would like me to be more independent. Tracey

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy replacement whisks for my Moulinex Hand Mixer. I've tried their website but nothing in United Kingdom Confused I received the mixer as a wedding present 14 years ago - maybe it's time to buy a new one if I can't find a stockist. I would be glad of any help. :D Thanks. Tracey

I like the peg idea Jacqui. Smile My husband built some cupboards in my sons room that run the length of one wall at ceiling height. My son has a cabin bed and he can reach the cupboard from his bed. If I add some pegs underneath this he will have some hanging room for teddies or bags of bits and pieces children always seem to have and want to hang onto. :D Tracey

Angela I hope you arrived home safely this evening and that you came across no idiots on your journey. That is the main reason I don't drive. I passed my test but am too nervous to venture onto the roads and stories like yours just reinforce my beliefs that there are some mad people behind the wheel. Smile

I think he can be quite arrogant and self opinionated. He got very upset when Home Front wanted to "do" his office - how sad is that. If he didn't want make the programme he only had to decline I'm sure they didn't force him :D

I do love pink and think it will be on many fashions this summer but it won't be the "new black" because it doesn't suit everyone. Shame. :D I love the colour though and so does my 11 year old daughter. She used to hate it when she was six - it was green then that she loved. Tracey

I was wondering why there are so few posts on this subject compared to the other subjects. Is it because we are all expert shoppers and don't need any advice or too busy doing it rather than talk about it?

Do we need an new category rather than shopping? What do you think? Tracey Smile

Hi Deborah, I'm a Learning Support Assistant and find it very rewarding and great fun. I've been doing it for about 3 years now - before I had my children I used to work for local Government and never thought I would work with children but it is great fun. :D Tracey

I mean - come on - how can there be a wooden PC? The machines get quite hot when they are in use and if they are used for any length of time surely there is a risk of catching fireEek

Riah, you could ring your local tax office and ask for help - ring directory enquiries for the number or look in your Thompson Local. My husband filled the forms in ages ago and still hasn't heard anything. I think it depends on how many enquiries the tax office get as to how long it takes for a reply. I'll keep you posted. Good luck Smile Tracey

My son has 2 plastic drawer units from Argos (£24) which have casters on the bottom. He puts all his small items (usually the worst to tidy away I feel) eg. Lego, Action Man stuff, pens, pencils, comics and Game Boy stuff. These stand in small spaces in his room which are useless for anything else. He also knows where to find things when he needs them and I also know where to put things. Hope this helps. Tracey Smile

To my shepherd's pie I add a teaspoon of Marmite(you either love it or loath it) and some tomato sauce - sounds yucky but is yummy :D
