Angry As we pay our licence fee to the BBC we should have some say into which programmes are kept and which ones are axed.
There are plenty which do not deserve to be shown and it seems that all the good ones get the chop.
The BBC should do a proper survey and then abide by the majority decision. Wink

The end of Ground Force still brings a tear or two to my eyes when you see the emotion shown by the person who owns the garden.
Still, there aren't that many other sloppy men about I suppose!
I will always enjoy the repeats whatever happens.

This is probably another case of the new loonies at the bbc who must have political indoctrination in a program otherwise the government may not look favourably on them,a harmless enjoyable program with no crazy camera angles and no political message is seen as old fashion in the bids for the ratings . the same thing is happening with local radio
it is an obsession that there must be change .uncle arne Develish

When I moved into my new home with a garden Ground Force certainly gave me some inspirational ideas, and without them I wouldn't have such a lovely wildlife friendly garden, although there is still lots of work to be done, but it was Alan Titchmarsh and his team that gave me the inspiration to get green fingered. The show was not the same after Alan left, but it still has some character. Its typical of the BBC along with the government-' if it works well then ditch it' And they want to keep license fees for another ten years, why? Its bad enough paying for all the ridiculous soaps, now to be entertained with what-more rubbish! Time to turn off the TV and put on the radio, get a refund on the TV license. Cry Angry Confused

Very sad to see it go, it never was the same without Alan but the new version had its own charm. I cant see what they replace it with.

Confused Frown
Maybe if ITV are watching and they have some sense, they will take over and invite the gang to do 'Groundforce' on the 'other' channel?

Why don't the BBC get rid of all this "reality" rubbish such as "Fame Academy" and other dross like it, and give us the programmes WE want for a change?.

It really is about time the BBC actually listened to the licence payer, instead of deciding what they want to put on!!! Angry

Roses are red, violets are blue - the BBC's crazy - now I'm crazy too!!
No doubt they will bring it back as a 'let's be nasty to everyone' programme where, when shown the design, the punter throws up all over it, swears roundly and then stomps off, kicking a stray pelargonium as he goes - now that will be progress a la cutting edge TV! Cheeky

My life will never be the same without Ground Force. I loved the programme and hardly ever missed an episode. I'd always hoped I'd be selected for a garden makeover! Gardening is big business, plenty of room for the old reliable Ground Force. (Will was evenbeginning to settle in and enjoy himself!!) Bring back the Team, please. Confused

Angry what is the BBC thinking of,to take a show off like groundforce, one that is watched and enjoyed by so many. Have they lost their minds. Lets get ITV onto this and surely the BBC will realize what they have lost. THINK OF YOUR VEIWERS. WE want to keep it.

Develish Well if there is enough call for it then perhaps ITV, channel 4 or 5 will take up the same type of show with the same people? As for the BBC, OUT OF TOUCH, Angry and you can keep your licence fee thoughts from my computer and stick to your existing poor TV programmes.
