Hello everyone,
How do I go about having my garden designed by Columbia Road series? I am in desperate need of a makeover as my garden looks like a blank canvas at the moment. Help! Lydia. Columbia Road Fan!!!
does anyone know how to apply to get on the programme any help would be appreciated thank you
i would very much like my mum to have the garden of her dreams she works so hard on it but she is 64 yrs old this year and it gets a bit too much for her now karen woods from glasgow
Does anyone know how to apply to get on any of the garden programmes? My garden is in desparate need of care and attention. Working full time, looking after the dogs, it's the last thing that gets looked at. We've been in the house for nearly a year and have only managed to cut the grass a few times last year. We'd love somewhere we can sit in the summer and enjoy. Can anyone help?
It seems to me, you either have to be a celebrity or be filthy rich with a house worth at least £25,000 to be even considered. Council house dwellers shouldn't even bother applying.

Like you I would love to have a visit from Columbia road but living in the North West I cannot see it happening.

hello there
our garden is a danger zone epecially with 2 children under 5 all they want to do is to play out side dut they can't, their is NOOOOOOOOOO parks where i leave as council want replace things what can i do we struggle to do our garden as you all know kids are hand full can anyone tell me how to get a make over? thank you
Hello.
Like everyone else I too would like a garden makeover, however I realise that there is probably a queue of people on a waiting list so patience may be a virtue.
The reason I'd like a makeover is that our garden really is a mess. My wife bless her doesn't believe in pruning or cutting back or thinning out and boy is it a jungle out there. I'd like to surprise her one weekend by sending her away and having your experts do a number on the garden so that when she returned she could have the garden she realyy wants together with a few lessons from the experts on garden upkeep.
So like everyone else I'll just hang on and hope that I too will be chosen one day.
Ta Ta for now everyone

Hi there,
We have bought a three bedroom terraced house in Richmond about 6 months ago. We had extensively refurbished it since then
(including a loft conversion), but now we have almost finished the house and we have run out of ideas for our back garden,
which is 17meters (55 feet) long by 5.5meters ( 18 feet) wide.
We currently have a patio area of around 10 feet long by 18 feet wide near the house, than a big brick shed of 10 feet
long by 6.5 feet wide. Then is jungle with some paving stones and some low brick walls (??) and we we don't how to do it,
in order to accomodate our requirements. We want:
- a proper outdoor dining area (the current paving stones are some broken, but are all very old), should it be paving
stones or decking ?
- a child play area (our almost 3 years old daughter got herself bruised quite a few times by going out in the garden,
and this is not right, but in the same time is difficult for us to forbid her to go out.
- a lawn area
- a relaxation area (maybe at the end of the garden)
- a smaller wood shed area (for bikes and garden stuff), as we want to keep the current big brick shed and transform it
into an office
- more privacy in our garden. Do we need to raise the fences with the neighbours ?
We want something practical, but we are not afraid of doing a bit of gardening, so flowers should also be an important part,
but what kind of flowers?
I even tried to design it in my home improvement PC software (the same used for refurbishing the house) but I could not get
what we would want.
The whole garden should be child friendly, with no possible hazards.
We have no ideas at the moment and we are desperately in need of someone who can help us.
It would also be a nice surprise for my wife and daughter
Thank you,
Hello i am desperatly trying to find out how to nominate my mother,,,,
She is a 54 year old woman with MS. one of her gretsest loves was her garden.
She moved in 2004 to a council bungalow and since been there has not been able to "do" her garden and it is driving her crackers and actually making her very sad.
I try and do as much as i can but as am a single parent with three children under 5 and working full time, time and energy is very scarce, if you could help please please let me know
Hi, I have been onto the site to find out how to be considered for a garden makeover, but can't seem to find anything.
I would really like to nominate my mum to have a garden makeover. She is 56 and in her second year at university studying to be a nurse. She has been a single parent for fourteen-years and has had to work relentlessly ever since. With university and working so hard she doesn't have much time. And any time she does get, she spends it doing something for other people. She has always put other people before herself - she would do anything for anyone.
My brother, her son, has moderate learning difficulties and due to this has not been able to find work. However, he does have an interest in gardening and has tried to add some inspiration to her garden. Unfortunately, with little guidance and little money, his attempts have failed somewhat.
Furthermore, three months ago she lost her nearest and dearest sister to cancer. A low maintenance garden to take her mind from her loss or to give her a sanctuary to reminisce her fond memories would be the best thing I could give to a woman who is undoubtedly the most caring and incredible person I know.
Please help xxx
