A typical decision by the sexist, ageist (largely male) decision makers at Gardeners World, they chose the "EVER SMILING"! Toby Buckland when Carol Klein would have have made a wonderful replacement for Monty Don. I am deeply disappointed as are many of my gardening friends.

I agree absolutely, Carol Klein would have been the better choice, she is so charismatic, energetic and much more likeable. That woman has converted me into being a plant fanatic and I love her for it!!

I think any of the present team should have been chosen but admit my choice would be Carol, as long as they dont bring back Gay Search or Pippa Greenwood and others of that ilk as there voices are highly irrating!(even though they were all lovely)
