I've had a design idea for my 4 by 5 yard FRONT garden…

Is this viable and safe or a bit bonkers? I plan to put white cotwolds gravel down and around our shrubs/beds but I also want to put decking over the old path which really needs replacing, the path is about 4 yards long.

Any comments?
