Peony Roses Problem

Can anyone please tell me why my Peony roses will not flower. I have three healthy plants with loads of large buds, but they will not open. They look as they are stuck tight. This is the second year this has happened.

Hi Saga,
I too have exactly the same problem. The buds are fat but they're dying off before ever having opened. Can someone tell us why?

No actual answer but they need rich well fed soil, and soil that drains well so that the roots are not too damp. Grow in full sun if possible.
