Hi all,
I'm growing melons and cucumbers in our conservatory,I've lost 2 melon plants to black fly and the cucumber plants are now covered with the blasted pests so i purchased an organic spray for £6 (Bayer Garden organic Pest Control) - followed the instructions on the spray gun,used it for a few days with little or no results !! anyway my mother visited us yesterday and suggested that i try what my Nan always done......just add a squirt of Fairy liquid into the water of my pressure sprayer/mister and shake,well i tried last night and today when i checked i was amazed to find all the pests are dead,so if your having any problems with black fly give this a try.
