Lacto and soya-free cheesecake recipe?

Thread Starter: SamanthaL18949    Started: Sun 12 Jul 2009    Replies: 1

Hi guys, really hope one of you can help me!

My housemates has developed a serious lactose and soya intolerence over the past year and is very much missing her favourite foods. Her birthday is coming up and I'd love to surprise her with one of her favourites- cheesecake! She can have rice milk and lacto/soya free margarine as well as the Arla lactofree products (which includes milk, cheese and soft cheese).

I'm not much of a cook and I've been trawling the internet looking for recipes that I can adapt but most seem to contain cream. She especially loves chocolate and can, of course, have cocoa. I can get some lacto and soya free chocolate as well, but it's really expensive so wouldn't be able to use a huge amount of it.

Please help!

Thanks,
Sam Smile

This maybe a little late but how about trying a American baked cheesecake, the recipe below is good, just replace the butter, cream cheese etc with dairy/lactose free ingredients, and instead of the sour cream topping you could do mixed berries or cherries.

Hope it helps a little Big Grin
