John West Tuna Light Lunch recipe

Hi
Has anyone tried the John West Range of Tuna Light lunches - the "french dressing" one is delicious. I would like to make this at home but have never had much success in replicating these "pasta in tubs" dishes, the sauce does not cling to the pasta for some reason and the pasta does not have the same consistency (which type of pasta???). This one also contains little cubes of potato- which variety of potatoes would be best?
Can anyone offer any tips?
