This may sound far fetched, but i dont think that it's a coincidence that gary lost out to Atul in the great British menu and then next thing he's on our screens with this tripe. It's almost like he was attacking british indian cooking. I criinged all the way through the series, and i truly believe that the two are linked - his ego just couldn't take it so he cobbled together this idea to prove how he could master indian cuisine. APALLING. i'd like to hear what mr rhodes has to say on the subject.

We never got this program in Australia but the amount of commentary on this website about the show is incredible! It must have been truly car crash television.

Aside from his ego, rhodes must be very thick-skinned. Can you imagine if he were to go on this website and read the critiques? I've counted over 70 threads on this topic alone and not one of them positive!

I can't watch him. I'm absolutely convinced he's had elocution lessons which make his pronounciation extremely odd. (Either that of I've got a serious prob with the sound on my telly.)

Bev, what is it about this man? I simply can't stand to watch him. Never could. I find him infuriating in the extreme.

As the series is currently repeating on UKTV Food, I too have been watching and found Gary Rhodes' obnoxious attitude very difficult to watch. He was apparently there to learn, but insisted on questioning and changing so many aspects of recipes that have been tried and tested by Indian chefs for so many years. Really..who does he think he is? I cannot believe he is now doing Rhodes across China, which I have not yet seen, but I hope his behaviour for this particular series has improved somewhat.

The moment I see him on my screen I switch it off. My blood boils just looking at him and hearing his new-found posh accent.

I still can not get over how much he has changed over the years. He used to be a great chef to watch,funny and interesting. But now he is just so annoying, from his over complicated cooking to his new accent, what has happened to his accent !! its baffled me!!

I like Gary, he is in Strictly Come Dancing, he has a fit, sexy body. I wish him well in it.

He probably will do well,Gary should fit in with a bunch of D list celebs. It appears Gordon Ramsay is going the same way hanging around with the Beckhams. Stand by for a battle of egos.
