What on Earth are the schedulers thinkng of?!! The GFL program is a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stuffy kitchen, Jenny B you are the best... my wife and yougest lad love your show and cannot undestand why it is being removed from air. I for one do not feel like being condemned to watching Wozza etc so I think it is time to turn OFF!!!
Madness.

The 'suits' that made the decision were fed up because Antony Worrall Thompson is going to ITV with Saturday Kitchen it's all linked to that.

We will have a wonderful new show to look forward to with Clarissa, Tom Parker Knoll armchair and Tana (I'm on TV cos i'm married to Gordon) Ramsey. Just in case - this section is ironic. I am a confirmed - and devastated gfl/jeni fan.

There was a big article on some website last year about the decision - and that was probably around October time. Big Grin Angry Cool Hug Tongue Wink Mad just can't sum up my emotions.

Hi All
My I add my pennworth to the discussion
This is the only programme I have seen that has included the people that have food intolerances and explained the alternatives to what you can and cannot eat such as Paul Hollywood and his bread section of the weekly programme
Surely somebody has lost their marbles if they take GFL off the air
This programme as the saying goes, gives value for money,
Jenni is the heart and soul of this programme, and her quips keep you laughing AND SHE ASKS THE QUESTIONS THAT A VIEWER WOULD ASK ABOUT SOMETHING THE CHEF IS MAKING SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND
KEEP GFL Get rid of the repeats, repeats, repeats, even the keyboard has a stammer Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Confused Confused Confused

Has the Beeb gone bonkers! Take off GFL and Jenni!!!. It is the most exciting, , informative, colourful, intelligent and instructional cooking program on TV. Never boring or predictable it showcases British culinary talent as well as presenting International cuisine in a most accessible and entrtaining format. Have the BBC programmers lost the plot? I will boycott any replacement program> It might make a hell of a hole in my viewing schedule but it will be a gesture. Please re-think for the sake of we "colonials" who value culinary expertise. I live in Australia and we get this show on the Lifestyle Food channel on Foxtel. i think we are only about a week behind the uk screenings. i'll be really upset if this show is axed as it's my fave cooking / foodie show, i watch it as often as i can. Jenni really makes the show fun and informative, and the world doesn't need any more crappy food shows that are just more of the same tripe! I also visit the website regularly for the great recipes and tips. Having worked with tv execs before i know that they often make desicions based on nothing to do with the actual content or fan base of a show. Shame on you bbc if this is te case here! Hurrah for GFL and Jenni! Please keep it on the air! Smile Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused

And so it continues with nover a word from the channel - sorry Roopa, with an honourable, though saccharine exception.

Develish I have signed, we should all sign! This is yet another example of the BBC, the "people's" TV company ignoring public opinion and doing it's own thing. What sort of ridiculous organisation ignores it's customers? Only a British institution I fear.

Please keep GFL in its current format with Jenni on air - it is obvious by the response you are receiving that we want this programme kept and as we are the viewing public and TV Licence payers ou wishes should be first in your programme planning!!!

please please PLEASE keep GFL on air! i can't believe that anyone in their right might can even contemplate taking this show off the air. it's an amazingly informative and user friendly show which is about so much more than just cooking. we're talking nutrition, eco shopping and so much more.

it goes without saying that Jenny is a superb host and i've got to say that GFL is the only food magazine show i watch and have watched for last few years.
PLEASE SAVE GFL AND STOP THE MADNESS!

It's understandable but you need to set a deadline and say if Auntie Pauline can't get time off from her job in Australia, then you'll go ahead anyway

They can fill the slots left by GFL with more endless repeats of Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein, Nigella Lawson etc. Not that I dislike those guys but I'm sure we've all seen them all so many times before!
It's cheap, easy TV.

GFL is fantastic, the best thing about the whole channel. Madness.

So who's brilliant idea was this!!!
have just heard that this great tv programme is being cancelled at the end of next week. WHY? I have enjoyed watching Great Food Live and its predecessor Good Food Live for the last 4 years. I have found it informative and entertaining. I have used many of the recipes and tips to the great enjoyment of my friends and family. I have been watching cookery programmes for the last 30 years, starting with "Delia". This is the BEST cookery/ food magazine programme by far. It is obvious from what Jenni has said on the programme that this decision has come out of the blue, I cannot imagine which IQ zero, to use the vernacular, has made this decision, as many of my friends and family also enjoy Great Food Live. Do you want to loose viewers?

I have been a regular viewer of UKTVFOOD for the last 4 years because of GFL, but if you take this programme off the air I will not be a regular viewer in future. I am going to cancel my Sky subscription as the only reason for subscribing is to get my daily dose of Jenni and Co.

I am with all of you that will no longer be switching on to UKTV just to watch endless repeats of Nigella and Jamie (even though I love them!). I didn't mind when GFL was on, because it felt like I was supporting the channel, but now they are taking Jeni away from us I feel they can take a hike! Angry I cried when I realised they were doing this and will be crying very much on Friday for the last show. Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry I am not even going to tune in to see what replaces it, as it'll probably just make me angry! Angry

It is utter stupidity to take a brilliant show like G F L off its the only food show worth watching it is very imformative as well as being very entertaining with Jeni at the helm. If G F L goes U K T V will be the real losers as people will turn off in thousands such is the popularity of Jeni Barnett .

GFL is the best foodie programe on the box so I don't understand why anyone would want to take it off! It is a food show that makes cooking so enjoyable and understandable and with Jenny being such a fab presenter it makes the show great to watch too. Please think again about this or your veiwing will fall downhill very fast I'm sure. Confused

Who makes these ridiculous decisions. GFL is the best food programme on tv and has given so many chefs their chance in a very competitive arena. Like many people I look forward to my evening catch up with Jeni and the team. I don't know what is being planned to replace this but it's going to have to have something special........Think again please. Confused Confused Confused Confused
