I too have never managed to make a dairy free yorkshire pudding (although i have been trying with gluten free flour that doesn't help!) Mine were only good for frisbeeing!

I think dairy free chocolate is fairly easy to get, most dark chocolate fits the bill (from supermarket shelves) but i don't know about soya, that really is a tricky one.

This website is particularly good for products and listing ingredients, i've received a birthday parcel off here before which was pretty cool:

Most chocolate says it may contain traces of milk, but i have never had a problem with these things, its their get out clause just in case anything happens really.

Sainsburys does a free from vegetable spread, which doesn't contain soya. Its fairly cheap and has quite a buttery taste. I've made cookies and brownies with that marg, cocoa, a wee drop of rice or goats milk, fructose and gluten free flour before and people have made a beeline for them every time.

I haven't come across the rice cream before but it does sound amazing, will definately keep my eyes open for some of that!

I've come across a all natural custard mix in some health food shops which was really cheap and basic ingredients (unlikely to have soya) so have a look for that too, its in a small yellow box.

Good luck x

Thanks for the reply. Yes ive used sainsburys marg to , i used to use pure but it tasted horrid in baking. Did i put rice cream i meant oat - temporay insanity ! But incidently rice milk works ok in muffin recipes as a replacement to the milk. Ive found that brids eye custard powder works well too

Thankyou Tongue
