Help with pancake recipe..

Thread Starter: lacey-cat    Started: Thu 03 Sep 2009    Replies: 2

I have a recipe for making pancakes and for milk. it just says add milk - doesnt state quantity. Any ideas how much to add and to what consistency should the batter be? Its for small pancakes, drop scones. Not the large flat pancakes.

Smile Hello Lacey-cat, as Gastrosurf says just add the milk until you have a creamy consistency, beating all the time; you are aiming for a thick white paint or double cream look alike. Better to err on the thicker side - you can always add more milk.

Add milk until you have a creamy consistency, and see what the results are like, and then adjust as required.
