I was trawlling the web to find the nostalgic Chocloate Crunch recipe, but unfortunately I haven't managed to find anything which even closely ressembled to good old Chocolate Crunch with pink custard!!!!!
If you know the recipe, would you be so kind and let me in on it, otherwise I force the missus to give up her current job to become a dinner lady.!!!
Check this link. There are a few recipes. Australian Crunch, Chocolate Concrete, Chocolate Cracknel and Chocolate Tiffin. Might be worth a look. Scroll down, they start about half way down the page.
I once tried to put a little golden syrup in the chocolate before i added the cornflakes to get the sticky effect, believe me, it was not a good idea. I ended up with a bowl of rock hard chocolate.....still ate it tho
the webpage below gives a choc crunch cake using some soy ingredients but its really just to use as a guide and the soy products can be changed to ordinary ones. hope this helps

Hi chubby. There is a recipe by YSL in Chat for chocolate crunch. She asked some dinner ladies for help. If you type in YSL in the 'search' bar on the left and then 'chat' scroll down and you'll see 'chocolate crunch'. There were a lot of posts at this time for school dinners.

I was given this Chocolate Crunch Recipe over 20 years ago by my dinner lady and its exactly like the one I used to remember.
300g marg
300g granulated sugar (no need to use caster)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
35g cocoa
400g plain flour
Cream marg and sugar together. Add the egg and vanilla essence. Fold in the cocoa and plain flour.
Put the mixture into a shallow tin, press down and sprinkle sugar on the top.
Bake in a warm oven at 160c for approx 1 hour.
Once removed then cut into squares.
This does make quite alot so you may want to half the amount
