If you love pasta then you'll love Antonio Carluccio's book called Passion for Pasta. It has lots of wonderful recipes.

ok Stuart, I'm sure many people have better recipies buts here are some of mine - bearing in mind I am a "make it up as you go along" sort of cook, not really following recipies.
sketty bol - gently fry some onion in oil then add some chopped carrott and celery add some beef or turkey mince (pack from supermarket) some garlic to taste, a tin of tomatoes, some dried herbs, a little tomatoe paste and a stock cube with enough water to cover well. simmer for a couple of hours and serve over cooked spaghetti

one I just made up - gently fry some onion with some bacon bits and some sliced peppers add some mustard (i used whole grain) and lemon juice and add to cooked pasta

We had some of this leftover so the next day I put it in a dish and sprinkled with grated cheddar and parmesan cheese, covered with foil and heated in the oven for 1/2 an hour - but you cover with a basic tomato sauce like the bolly one (tin of toms, onion, garlic, carrott and any herbs you like and a little stock if nec - cooked gently before pouring over)

Or of course you could use chicken or turkey instead of the bacon and you could make a basic white (or cheese) sauce to cover

a very quick one is simply - cook any sort of pasta you like, when cooked drain and return to the hot saucepan, add some chopped ham and a couple of eggs and stir round untill the eggs are cooked

another is to fry some diced pork, with some onions and peppers - carrott if you like and some garlic, add some tomatoes or a tin of same and lots of stock. Then add the dry pasta and cover. Simmer for about 20-25 mins till pasta is cooked

These are just ideas out of my head cos my daughter didnt bring the pasta recipie book home when she came home from uni for christmas

If you like cold pasta (yuk i don't but my daughter does) you could try cold cooked pasta (run it under a cold tap when cooked) and make a honey musted dressing just with some runny honey some mustard and some olive oil - maybe a little lemon juice to taste. mix and serve with a salad

sorry ive gone on a bit here - just a few ideas out of my head - let me know if you want anything else more specific
