Can anyone please help I've got a white berry tree and I've no idea what to use the berries for. I was thinking of making jam. I'd also like to make some desserts with them. Any ideas please.

You are so right Karen. If a forum is run responsibly then the exchange of personal details is not encouraged openly, there are other ways to exchange information. There really is no substitute for 'getting to know' your 'e-friends' before entering a chat environment.

That will not guarantee safety but if you can use a private, members only, type of chatroom you may have some safeguard ISPs, etc can be logged. Many people who run websites will do their utmost to ensure the users feel 'safe' using the site - if they are reluctant to answer queries etc, then best not go there.

yes it deffinatly depends on what sort of chat room you enter, have had problems with some but others are fine, you just have to be careful not to give out details about yourself unless you are sure of the peple you are talking to

Sometimes Kath152, depends on the forum and whether its moderated/hosted. Have only ever used BBC chat or forums I have been invited to, therefore have had no problems at all.

aya, Yahoo is a search engine that provides many features: chat rooms, web page facilities, games etc. etc.Look at www.yahoo.com
You need to sign up to a yahoo identity and password,as for this one.I chat in Older and Wiser but have neglected that since I got in here! As for bad experiences you get all sorts of horrid folk intruding, but yahoo have an Ignore facility so you can soon see those off.

Chatrooms are ok if they are controlled. Having had bad experiences in a few chatrooms I have decided that thats it for me. I have Yahoo messenger now, so can chat only with the friends I really want to. My advice is if you are thinking about a chatroom, be very careful.

One word of advice if you start a chatroom, I run one on my site for members only. It gets to be a big commitment, great fun but still a huge amount of time neededSmile Good luck with your venture!
