For fear of being chastised for advertising other sites....Two words. : 1) Yahoo! 2)Groups and then search for James Martin. You'll soon find us! You'll be made most welcome in our haven of JMness *wink*

Victoria, was very excited to hear about the JM group being a huge fan myself, but tried searching for it to no avail. Help! All I could find on Yahoo! were sites containing the words James and Martin.
Jen, get him as a co-host on GFL soon so we can all get our fix!(apologies to my husband if he's reading this!!)

On the Yahoo main page, click "Groups" (in the list of Yahoo pages underneath - next to 'connect'), and then search within the groups themselves. If I could give out the full web address without getting told off I would do! Damn these rules and regulations!!

Can anyone join the group? I am a humungus fan of the lovely James
(I guess it's my age!) and watch him when ever I get the chance. I have looked at his web site but it doesn't seem to be very up to date.

Victoria, I and many others have posted full web links on this site and I haven't had my wrists slapped yet. I have been careful about posting copies of recipes. If I have a recipe someone wants I e-mail it to them as a word.doc. But web sites aren't copywright I don't think.

James must be one of the busiest chefs around so maybe MammaChef you caught him on a bad day, cause when I met him he definitely had a twinkle in his eyes and he had loads and loads of charisma

Hi Sarah

I think you've got it in one. I do not on anyway dislike him but can only make my mind up on our one and only very very brief meeting. He didn't smile didn't speak and seemed in a terrible rush. Obviously busy but you must make time for your fans if you want them to love you. The autograph which was for charity only took a second of his time but I will add in his defence, was not a scheduled signing so clearly an interuption in his day all be it seconds of his day.

No I do not dislike him, on the contrary, just found Simon to be really caring about ALL his public. On this note, so too was Guy Wolley, what a lovely man, and ooooh very good looking. Definately some twinkling eyes there too.

Perhaps I catch JM on a less busy time next year.

I have now made two trips to JMs deli but he has not be spotted, and I still ended up spending too much money!! Have any of you been into the clothes shop next door, very posh and expensive!?

I think your best bet is try and catch him at a smaller venue, I met him at a food fayre in Holt Norfolk in September and he was so cha rming, and so approachable, he was signing anything in sight, handing out helpful cooking tips amongst other things, I`ve met a few famous peopl e, and JM has so far been the friendliest, roll on to when I can meet him again Smile

Well Sarah,

It just shows you, you or he can't please all of the people all of the time .... or maybe he was just having a bad hair day, oh sorry thats not fair, he has after all got rid of the silly scarf. (was that to hide his rollers) No say no more, I feel I need to duck again :devilish:

I asked him a question on the show on monday (bites) I love the enthusiasm he has for his food. I too would not be kicking him out of the kitchen.

Hello Patricia - I heard you ask James a question on the show. You were very calm - not sure I would have been if I was speaking to him live on air!

Mamachef, I agree with you to a degree. I used to watch James Martin on House Invaders (or something similar -BBC1 -10am - 11.am weekdays, about a year ago, can't quite remember the name? Dark haired , good lookin girl presented?- She flirted like mad with him?) - to get back to the point, he was great then. I think he's got a bit too big for his boots, or too big for his head scarf? Sorry if your reading this James, I know your busy - but hey! By the way, I've never met him, so don't have a personal grudge.
