can somebody please tell me what cassis is, my husband and I watch Market Kitchen regularly but some of the ingredients are not known to us here in Australia, I have searched the web with no result. I would like to make the raspberry icecream shown in last weeks segment

It's a blackcurrant liqueur - usually used in the cocktail kir royale - a drop in the bottom of the glass and topped up with champagne.
