well i dont understand people that text in saying its boring dont watch it then i watch it every day i get great recipes off there i lov cooking some people are to lazy too cook ive got 6 kids and lov tryin different recipes so dont xxxx off program as i think there all doin a great job and carry on guys xxx

Well, it does have one thing going for it: it's a food show. But that's about it for me. So, yes, I watch it - but it's sort of like watching an hour-long cooking demonstration on mid-morning television.

Don't think it pretended to be anything but that.
If others chose to go down replacement route, 'twas they that were wrong.

I know what you mean by "mid morning" tV....yawn. Bad production, bad hosts, interminable commercials.

It think MK actually DID try to be something it wasn't. That's why they started out with "new" celebrities of MT, TPB and TR and giving MF a very unusual role for him. The knee-jerk cameras also tried to give a trendy "with-it" feel that only gave the viewers splitting migraines. And then the put-on "cafe" certainly is a total pretend.

In fact the name itself is totally misleading, trying to say something that is not true.

There's not a market anywhere in sight.

Ans as for "sustainable", "seasonal", "local" produce nough coments have already been made about that.

Simply put: pretentious. It DID try to be something it isn't.

To call it an hour-long dry, lifeless cooking demo is probably very accurate as Barshedale agrees.

Actually I was agreeing with Olive I like the show.

While there are many who like Market Kitchen, I would just like to submit that very few cookery shows that I've experienced in the past have demonstrated the same, uncanny ability of Market Kitchen to simply irritate great chunks of the viewership. It's really quite incredible. The reasons seem to vary wildly, but for me it's the revolving door of poor presenters they keep thrusting in our faces.
