Hi,
Just been reading some reviews of the programme. I have to say I breathed a sigh of relief when J Barnett and co were replaced. I loved GFL but I did find our Jenni overbearing increasingly as time went on and I think latterly she tended to take over the show with an almost 'cabaret' style. She tended to not listen to her guests and seemed to want to be the centre of attention all the time.
I think MK is a very good show, more professional yet with the inclusion of the live audience it is very easy to watch. The chefs are unpretentious and we are getting to see new faces instead of the same old, same old which was happening on GFL.
As to Ms Ramsey. Yes, she is most definitely NOT a natural presenter and this is where I feel the production companies fail miserably often. They tend to take a famous name's partner and thrust them in front of the cameras regardless of skill. There must be so many people out there that would have loved the chance she was given but because they don't happen to be married to someone famous and be in such a priveledged position, they haven't got the proverbal cat's chance. So, good decision to take her off. She had her opportunity and failed miserably. Nice person though she may be (although, accepting such a foul mouthed person to father her children is a debatable aspect).
So, let's give MK a chance. Diana Henry is getting better, but she's not that good at presenting but is a good cook. Camilla's boy, is a good all rounder in his own right and not resting on his Royal laurels!!
I would like the show to focus more on well treated animal food. How fois gras is STILL used I will never understand. One minute we're told to use free range eggs, local, British produce etc (all good) and then such a cruelly-used ingredient is used. Bit of a double-standard.
Thanks

I agree with many of your points Lilly Lee but this show is just so uninteresting - and I love cooking shows. I assume they'll keep tweaking and tweaking it until it's ultimately just cancelled.

Has Tana Ramsey left the show then? I don't watch it much these days so wouldn't know. She was not very good. I am sure she is quite a good cook at home but so am I. Lots of women out there are good cooks and feeding a family on a lot less than she does. She is no better than all of those women and she is bad at presenting!

Boy, that's an understatement Arty: "She was not very good". I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did with all the negative reaction to her telegenics.

Her "cooking for children" spin never worked and she never showed much cooking talent at that. But it definitely was her terrible presentation skill that in the end did her in.
