I don't like Tom Parker Bowls or that Matthew Fort, they need someone with a regional accent that can click with general Joe public. and with a personnality to match.

I guess it's because it's nothing negative about Tana! I believe 3 posts were removed so far.

Whilst I agree that the show could certainly do with another host with a more engaging & likeable personality I have to say that imo TPB & MF are perfect as they are for MK.

I put a response on this stream yesterday celebrating the exit of TR and lo and behold it disappeared. In it I also said I think the rest of the presenters were fine and wondered who would replace TR. Obviously far too faint praise as it was removed.
Is it possible Gordon Ramsay is the moderator.

When I checked earlier today there were 8 posts on this thread, including one from me...now they are gone? Why? There was nothing offensive, just general relief that Tana was now gone.

I, too, don't like ANY of the presenters but Tana was by FAR the worst of the pack. Even though he's not really TV material, if any are to stay it should be TPB as he's the only one that shows at least SOME enthusiasm. In fact if it wasn't for him, MF would have been gone ages ago. He's just so lifeless.

No, bob, I doubt it. When they designed this show it was all about how to maximise the viewership of course. Today one of the fundamental ways to do this is what the movie studios have known for decades: names, names, names.

But it hasn't really worked has it? You can't gloss over "lack of talent". And enthusiasm in and of itself is insufficient.

Talent? it's a cookery programme not a talent contest or a showcase for a sinking presenter.

I am glad tana has gone but I do like TPB. I think he is nice, nerdy, and natural. I would have thought his conections would have been a disadvantage!

What a sad forum this is..still going on about the presenters I can only imagine Tana was glad to go if she read this.Of course she is good presenter and so is Diana Henry. Who is so knowlegdable on her subject.I have just bought a Tana Ramsey cook book super receipes...

I'm with stanbob on this one...Market Kitchen is just simply too boring to get fired up about who is the latest "personality" to be sacked as a host.

There is always the off switch- cooking 4 one Market Kitchen great programme for the novice cook.

That's EXACTLY what I always did when I saw that Tana was on. Awful. I do manage to watch some of it at other times, though. While there has been some recipe exceptions, not sure the programme is really aimed at novices though?

The only point I was trying to make was that I found it hard to believe anyone would get so worked up about who is hosting. Just don't watch if you don't like so-and-so.

I think it was cooking4one above that mentioned someone being sacked, although not mentioning who exactly. I don't think it's important one way or another why someone exited the programme. It's just good that there have been changes made, whatever the cause. A good result for all, it would seem.
