I'm really sick now of James Martin churning out shows after shows after shows etc etc!!! Angry

He's on the top of my list as an overrated, overhyped, over inflated egotist cook ever to appear on TV...and I blame AWT for hiring him as a cook in the first place & encouraged him to go on tv just like him!!!! Angry

GGRRRRRR!

fraid their all on the money bandwagen-same as all these stars you see in supermarket adverts-as if.

even gordon ramsey( who by the way has a great kitchen in his house)
whose net worth is 60+million has to send his wife out to earn a crust!!

wander who looks after the kids?

still,if they wernt on t.v we would be lost!!

Thank you Arthur for bringing up that topic!! Since Gordon is now spending all his time in the US and Tana is on that dreadful Market Kitchen thing, how are the kids fareing? They must never see them. Tana should have them come to the MK cafe during filming Big Grin

Yes, Mr Martin is now in the "oversposed" category I'm afraid. Why is the media insisting on this celebrity thing? Very tiring for what should be a serious food channel.

:Hi, even when I turned on the TV last night there was James M not only doing the national lottery but dressed in country attire!!! I luv cookery programmes as much as the next person but wot started off as a fairly decent show has gone into melt down as the week has progressed. Did anyone see Christmas Feast last night? who on earth has the time or inclination to spend hours making that profiterole tower???? Come on now James................

Re - Masterchef Goes Large

I met Steven last summer at the Food Festival at Regents Park, him & various celeb chefs...it was a great day ...I did post on here about it!!!!

Steven at that time was working for La Gavroche..whether or not he's still there I don't know.

Bah Humbug the lot of you!!!!! Although it is nice to see new chefs and I agree a follow up to masterchef would be nice. You all have an off switch on your television.

If you want to complain about overrated chefs, how about Heston Blumenthal? I think that guy is seriously in need of a humbling experience. Saw a show some time back when he made icecream using dried ice, and also nitrogen. Well, really! It's all right for him, but where in your local supermarket (where most of us shop) do you find those.
I dislike intensely that his search "for the best" is so dogmatic. One man's meat....etc.
