I absolutely love barefoot contessa and wish it were on more often. Would also like to find one of her books. However
i do find it really frustrating when i'm trying to convert from american measures to ours and also decipher her ingredient language! MORE BAREFOOT CONTESSA!

I absolutely LOVE the Barefoot Contessa programmes. They are so well done, the recipes are perfect, the food is so appealing and she is so warm and enjoyable. She makes evrything seem effortless. Every recipe I have tied has worked!!

A great, great show.

Why are British food programmes so bad lately??? What is happening???

As with I-love-cakes, I prefer the GFL series so much more than this awful Market Kitchen crap.

Hi. I've just returned from hols in the States. I've had a great time trawling the shops where she gets her great kitchen stuff, and I bought back loads of Barefoot Contessa Muffin Mix and Coffee. Ina is working on a new book which I believe is called Back to Basics which will be published around October time. She's recently had a barn built in her garden which has a fabulous kitchen in it. She's doing a special 'Barn Warming' program. I hope we get it over here. I agree, it would be great to see her as a guest on MK.

i watch BC every day, but i don't know why: i can't stand her!!! she drives me crazy with her laugh and how she says, "How easy was that/" about everything...oh and her friends!!! so fake and stilted...

the recipes are ok, i guess, but brutally unhealthy----does she put butter in everything????

sorry; rant over...

I just adore Ina Garten and her way of making everything sound so easy. Her recipes are delightfully wicked Develish that's why they taste so good!!

Horses for course I suppose. I watch snippets of Market Kitchen every day but also don't know why?? I can't stand the show!

At least Ina isn't pretending to be anything but what she is. Yes, the butter has affected her figure, but that's why I love her!

When I win the BIG one on the lottery I'm going to run away, buy a big New England style home and live like the Barefoot Contessa....... either that or I'll run away from home altogether - preferably with Bill Granger! What to choose? Life's just one quandry after another!

I would like a house like Ina Garten, she inspires me no end. I like the way she decorates her table for her dinners, everything matches, same colour flowers as her napkins. Would like to see her new barn when completed.

What about the Barefoot in Paris series? Is it as good as the one from her home?

Big Grin I have those moments when I go into a daydream, thinking when I come in the money... I want a home like Ina Garten, I can see myself with the kitchen, house, and all her tasteful furniture and car, dropping into florist's and deli shops, no expense spared... Develish But for now just make do, and dream on....

The Paris series, is quite well done, seeing lots of the sights of Paris, shopping for food, mainly eating alfresco with Jeffery Tongue Then back in US to recreate the dishes at home. Big Grin Big Grin
