I remember seeing a few epsodes of this on UKTVF (am I imagining things?) recently. I love that show (I quite like some of the American shows that have come over recently - including Barefoot Contessa - and I'd quite like to see more). My parents live in Canada for part of the year, so when I visit I take a big notebook to jot down recipes from *their* Food network, which we don't get over here. Some variety is nice, eh?

yes i have seen this on uk food recently, i think its on at the moment during the week during the day maybe? i love the barefoot contessa, that turkey lasagne she made today with pea and pesto salad looked fabulous, im making that one and those frozen berries with melted chocolate are divine, i have made those before, and a frozen daquiri is my favourite drink, havnt tried mango, usually use strawberries.
Her tip of freezing summer berries on trays then bagging them in portion sizes was really good, so they dont all stick together, and berries available all year round, will also be doing that !!

I am a huge Nigella fan, and tamasin day-lewis too, if you enjoy the barefoot contessa i believe you may enjoy their shows too.

I'm so pleased to see that Everyday Italian has returned to our screens and Barefoot Contessa too! Things are looking up! When my family and I were in Texas earlier this year, we tried to watch some of these shows whenever we got the chance. I'd love to see some new episodes of both shows on our screens. (If anyone from UKTVFood is reading this, that was a hint!) jools3 x

Also love the 2 shows mentioned. I spend a couple of months in the States each year and love Emeril Lagasse and Rachael Ray. I'm sure if UKTVFood bought the rights to screen them they would be a HUGE hit with their audience

I keep hearing about Rachel Ray but havnt seen her, what are her shows like please? what kind of foods and format?

Rachel Ray does a show called 30 minutes meals where she prepares a meal from start to finish in 30 minutes.She also did a show called $40 a day where she visited lots of places in the US and and ate breakfast,Lunch and Dinner for $40 dollars aday (basically her show titles say it all).I enjoy her shows but she can be a bit over the top she tends to wave her hands around way to much.Also she is always saying EVOO(short for extra virgin olive oil)which she then follows up by telling the viewer it means extra virgin olive oil.
The Hallmark channel showed her chat show a few weeks ago which is a mix of chat,guests and cooking and is made by Harpo (oparh).
I'm not a big fan of Emeril (bam) Lagasse but I like Paula Deens programmes.I would also wish that some station would pick up one of Martha Stewarts old shows

Martha stewarts wedding shows are showing at the weekends at lunchtime on one of the lifestyle channels, watched it last weekend, amazing lady, so talented, cant remember which channel sorry, but it is on
