Dear Jeni
When I heard some weeks ago that GFL was ending, I couldn't believe it! I hope it was you that decided to move on and not the so called 'powers that be'.

My friends and family will (in all honesty) not be getting the menu's they have over the past 4 years as I am constantly inspired and encouraged to try new receipes and wines alike, it really was one in a million show and its essence was your style of presenting, your humour and down to earth ways!

I have just watched the last show, and wept along with you Jeni, as I'm sure you have had emails and letters over the last fews weeks, you will be sorely missed and can only hope you will be back on our screens very soon.

My evenings always started watching either your 6pm or 7pm show, not quiet sure what I'll be watching now whilst preparing my husbands dinner. Can't quiet see 'the market' measuring up some how.

I shop in Tunbridge Wells quiet often as I live in Westerham, and hope won't mind if I stop you just to say hello, if I do see you around.

Take care and thank you for such a wonderful show. You really, really really will be missed.

Christine (a great fan)

P.S. It was lovely to finally see Jim & Beth.

I have watched the show for so long it had become part of my day ! Feel really let down in losing this show with Jeni and all the folks who were on the show with her - they were so interesting .Every chef who came on was always made to relax by Jeni - they were always put at ease by her brilliant presenting - now this has gone - it would not be possible to replace it with anything that would be better - just really sad that this could possibly happen.
I wondered if I had heard right when I heard some tv person say that UKTV had just paid millions to get Ant and Dec on to their programmes? I seriously hope that this is not got anything to do with taking GFL off the air??
It was a lovely show yesterday although very moving! Not sure what i will be watching now - probably go back to BBC1 and 2. Good Luck Jenni in what ever you do - I hope your talent is not wasted and thank you also to all who appeared with you - a big kiss to them all!!

I shall nth what the original poster had to say. GFL has been my regular teatime viewing for several years now. I'm not quite sure what I'll be eating my dinner to, in the future, but, since we've now cancelled our satellite subscription, it won't be something on UKTV food, I'm afraid.
