Is there someone who is willing from UKTV to tell us, yes us the viewers, why without question one of the best loved, and poss must viewed programme is being scrapped. Its watched by young and old alike. Its educational, informative, and entertaining. If this is a final decision then whoever is responsible for this should hang their head in shame as viewers disappear. Our only hope is that enough outraged viewer complain, or that another channel is willing to commission the show. They will know that there is a ready made gang of viewers willing to watch it.

I am appalled at the loss of GFL it is only reason I have sky TV, and the only programme worth watching, everyone and I mean everyone I know loves it and we talk about the receipes and Jenn's antic, she is one of the best presenters on TV - perhpas BBC will snap her up!!!!

I hope someone in 'tellyland' does snap this up.

I was devastated when I heard the news.

There will be a lot of tears on the day of the last show Frown

This is without doubt one of the most cock-eyed pieces of TV management I've ever encountered. At a time when all the other major broadcasters are stampeding to churn out pale imitations of Jenny and GFL...you lot go and shoot the golden goose! My partner and I tune into GFL every single evening and really miss our fix...even when enjoying a hoilday abroad. Please please reconsider this decision...or at least explain to us why you've made it. And I urge all other fans to keep up the pressure...
On a personal note - keep on keeping on Jenny - you have an army of fans who love you dearly and will follow you around the networks...UKTV you have been warned!

GFL is the only programme worth watching on UKFood, every other programme is repeated so often I'm sure I know them word for word and have started to hit the off button or look at rival channels. Jenni is someone who can cheer you up on the worst of days with her fun not to mention all the information over the years. I have always avoided going out in the early afternoon so as not to miss a show. This has got to be the most crazy management decision and will probably signal the demise of UKFood!!!! Angry

I am aghast. No more GFL? No more wondrously brilliantly witty Jenni? Why? At 6pm, it's the perfect show to watch after a hard day at work, and a great way to avoid depressing news shows. Please, whoever made this stunningly disasterous decision to end it, reconsider. Taj is completely right, others have tried to copy this winning formula, but come up way short. I certainly won't be tuning in to watch the reruns that you fill the rest of the schedule with! Confused

Do the sponsors know how unpopular this decision is. Maybe we should let them know how unhappy this decision is

I think that UK TV Food is going to go the route of wall-to-wall repeats, with no live input. I'm sure you all have noticed that Food Uncut disappeared at Christmas and never returned. Jeni and her regular guests are a breath of fresh air, they give me information, tips, and a good laugh! This is a pathetic decision. Reconsider or watch viewing figures plummet. Remember Carlton Food Network?

No-one wanted to listen to me when my TOP UP FREEVIEW service decided to cut the UKTV Food Broadcast in totallity from 3 hrs to 1 hr per day. I decided to stop paying for the top up. I was told that people didn't want to watch food programmes. Has anyone seen the soap stars competition on ITV from 5 - 6pm sorry but it's crap! Even JC couldn't make it better. ITVcooks 3pm - 4pm with AWT allowed me to fall asleep it's so samey..........perhaps we need another format. I compained about BBC1 Sat.Kitchen because the recipe print out was so different to that which James Martin had cooked and really, BBC couldn't really care (they didn't read my complaint) and suggested I just cook the recipe as printed rather than as James had demonstrated.
