Is there someone who is willing from UKTV to tell us, yes us the viewers, why without question one of the best loved, and poss must viewed programme is being scrapped. Its watched by young and old alike. Its educational, informative, and entertaining. If this is a final decision then whoever is responsible for this should hang their head in shame as viewers disappear. Our only hope is that enough outraged viewer complain, or that another channel is willing to commission the show. They will know that there is a ready made gang of viewers willing to watch it.

4 years ago I became unwell and spent several months off work, in that time I became an avid viewer og GFL and experimented with many of the fabulous recipes. I taught myself to cook basically, I eventually was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis but so keen was I once the cooking bug got hold of me I left my job as a nurse of 29 years bought a coffee shop do all the cooking and am doing well and a lot of my good fortune is down to GFL. Its a disgrace that one of the most entertaining and informative cookery programmes on television is to leave our screens. jenny Barnett is without doubt one of the funniest and most professional presenters on television, she has the personality far beyond that of any of the chef's who present some of the rival programmes seen on other channels and her rapport with her guests makes the programme the highlight of my weekdays, I record it daily as I cannot imagine missing an episode, its like watching friends having a good time and passing their pleasure through their work to me. I owe a lot to Jenny and her colleagues closing this show is terrible lets get up a petition. Good Luck Jenny and a big thank you for being you.

Just had to look on the message boards to see if there were other people like me - amazed at the fact that such a successful programme is being axed - what is this reverse psychology.......look we have got this great programme together its obvously a winning recipe, the viewers love it, Jeni“s doing a great job ...........lets axe it!!!!!!!!!! Eek

Well all the best Jeni and thanks for giving me a laugh whilst doing the most boring jobs in the world.....ironing,cleaning,cooking(!) etc....I sometimes find myself laughing out loud. Well now Jeni can give her tummy a rest - I sometimes worry about all the concoctions she has tried!!!! Maybe if the programme had won the food awards they wouldnt have axed it ,,well heres to the new even more exciting programme thats on the horizon!! Wink

Angry Here here to all the previous comments. I also will miss my daily dose of Jeni. I too have learnt so much from the programme. It beggars belief that it is finishing. I would like a detailed explanation as to WHY???????

Like everyone else, I can't believe this program is coming off the air. What is even more amazing is that no one has given any explanation as to why!!!

I'm appalled to learn without an announcement that Jenny's great program that my partner and I watch avidly every morning before work, or live when possible, over the last few years is coming to an abrupt end!!!
I hope there is a very good reason other than TV executives who think they know better than us viewers.

All the very best to Jenny and her team and I sincerely hope another TV channel will pick up this great show. Confused Angry
