I think we should all send a card to Jeni at the studios they do the show at - I'm going to! Nothing too sad and morbid because I'm sure everyone there is already depressed enough, but a few words of gratitude and well-wishing. The show is made at Capital Studios in Wandsworth - I googled and found their website.

I think the GFL team deserve it, and I KNOW Jeni does! Smile

Angry I was horrified to hear that Jeni and GFL are going off the air, I like many of the other posts I have read today, find that GFL has the right mix of comedy, food, campaigns I love watching the programme and my husband and my daughter also watch this, I strongly believe that this time the programmers have made a serious error of judgement. I will watch the new programme perhaps once then I will turn off along with many other viewers, and I will not return until Jeni returns to our screens and I also agree with 'SockPuppet' and I will be sending a card to Jeni and all those chefs and other 'experts' that go on the programme to wish the very best of luck. Hopefully some other channel will pick up the format with Jeni. I will be watching tonight Jeni - and will every day until the end. Hopefully someone is letting Jeni know that all the posts are coming in as I only found out on Monday when she said they were ending in 3 weeks.

I just posted a topic about sending the team a card and a letter to wish them well and let them know how much the show has meant to us, and presumably because I included the postal address of Capital Studios (that's freely available on their website), my topic was deleted.

Seems UKTV really don't like the thought of us getting in touch with the team. Typical. They don't care about us or the show. They only care about money and how they look.

Maybe Mr Branson should give Jeni et al a call, he has a couple of free channels at the moment with Sky not playing ball with Virgin Media! I certainly won't be watching UK Food after GFL goes off air, it's the only prog worth watching Angry Angry

Hi Jeni,
I was so very shocked to hear the other day that Great food live was to be axed! I have watched you and your team from the very start 5 yers ago. My Husband has tried in vain to changed our satelite company several times over the years, but I had to put my foot down incase the new provider didn't have your show! I love your show it perks me up when I an down, provides me some great hints, tips and fab recipies- I love to see you all inter-reacting like a regular family. I, along with many thousands of other veiwers will shead a tear or two if the programe goes. Good luck to you all. With king regards Vickie Hayes-Kerridge xxx

I have already had my say about GFL going off air, but it won't hurt to say it again. It is the best show around, informative, funny just the right mix - you can't beat Jenni Barnet - Saturday Kitchen will be no substitute, but with GFL gone what else will their be apart from repeats. The show does not only help with cooking hints and tips it helps with all sorts of information such as nutrition etc. Hopefully you can bounce back and we will see you on another show soon. With 10 days to go I urge everyone who enjoys GFL to stand up and get counted. Thank you Jenni for everything - not only have you helped me through a very long and difficult illness you have even got my youngest son interested in cooking. Angry

Jenni Barnet is the best presenter on TV. I am amazed the TV channel are letting her go.

John may or may not be a cause of symptom of what's going on. It could be that she's easing away from you. Certainly I did see more of my female friends when my first marriage was dodgy, NOT with the intention of lining them up as possible replacements but for advice on how to save my marriage.

She may be using him as a sounding board for advice. John or no John, I think any sign that you are falling down her list of priorities is a huge red flag.

As a general rule, I don't know the best way to react if you feel someone is slipping away from you. Should you call their bluff and decide you can't be too bothered either? If you think someone else is involved, either as a potential replacement or someone who may be influencing a partner to split, what should you do?

Brings back memories of some painful times 22 years ago.
