Hi.
I am having three couples over for dinner in a couple of weeks and one of the people who will be coming doesn’t eat anything remotely spicey– including black pepper, onions, garlic. Most of things that I cook has onions or spices in it, so I am totally stuck on what to serve up.
I don’t want the meal to be too bland and unexciting for my other guests. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could cook?
Thanks

What about monkfish, wrapped in pancetta? I saw Sophie Grigson's programme yesterday and she served it with roasted vine tomatoes and I guess you could serve sauteed potatoes and a green veg too.

Alternatively, what about a good old fashioned roast chicken, stuffing etc...

just to add to jannymacs suggetstions, instead of the green veg you could serve it with pea puree

Not sure why your guests avoid these-My sister has a stomach problem and needs to keep a very struct spiceless diet.
she makes a fab soup using only orange fleshed vegetable like sweet potato, carrot and pumpkin and a sprinkle of ground dried thyme
if you just slightly roast the vegtables before you add the water and make sure your cook them long enough- the soup gets a very rich, slightly sweet taste.
You can also add a little coconut milk to it
If you're addicted to pepper-lentils have "peppery" flavours and can be made into mash or soup
