This is one of the best food programmes I have ever seen.
I love the fact that she lets you have a peek into her life she
cooks great food for friends and family and lets you come along
for the ride. I would love to purchase her dvds here in the UK
but have had no luck so far. The Food Network does not ship
to the UK. Any suggestions?

I agree Gina, I have seen her programmes before when on holiday in The States, and have enjoyed them here now.It's nice to see a whole series!
I have mentioned over on another thread that I have one of her cookery books...The Barefoot Contessa at Home..I got mine from Amazon via The Book Depositary £12+ and am really enjoying reading it. It is written very like her programmes and the pictures are gorgeous. You get a real sense of the area, and great recipes too.

I enjoy her programmes too. She makes everything look easy. A few recipes need ingredients that are not readily available here. She uses cups for measurements which is a lot easier, than weighing everything. She makes lovely pop ups, yorkshire puddings I presume?

Try ebay I have bought several American cookery show dvd's from there.Have you ever seen any Rachel Ray or Paula Deen tv shows both are good and available on dvd.Hope you have some luck

americans make what are called pop-overs, which are the same mixture as yorkshire pudding i believe, but i think they are usually cooked in a butter lined tin, souffle style

You can also get the plastic type muffin tins, where you don't need to line them. Ina seems to make everything easy. I enjoyed watching her in Paris with Jeffery this week.
