Soggy pastry

hi there,
I have been making my dads favourite egg and bacon pie since i was young. When I make it however the pastry at the bottom of the pie goes soggy. I always bake it blind before adding the ingredients but still to no avail! Any ideas???? Thanks xxxx Confused

egg and bacon pie, sounds a little like quiche??
baking the pastry blind should help soggy bottoms, try baking at the bottom of the oven so the heat is hitting directly underneath as well as around, may help... good luck..

hey snoozy,
thanks for that, I will give that a try. It is like a quiche but has a firmer and 'aero' type look rather than a smooth creamy texture.
