Yes, I went last November. We ate by the marina one night and just off the main street another and I was not impressed. but I am sure there are good restaurants for thos in the know. You might be better going out to Spain. good luck with finding somewhere nice.

I find Gibraltar expensive to eat in compare to Spain. But if you want to eat in Gibraltar then I think that the best meal is in the Marina as Ames suggested. Definitely not in any of the restaurants on the Main Street.

I used to live in Gib, Raffles was always a good place to go to, but we used to go into Spain more often. The tapas bars don't look much but the food is great and cheap. Eat where the locals eat. Have fun.

Tongue Relatives in Gib took us Sacarelos for a lunch, they recommended the Prawn Piri-Piri, which I have to say were Fab! Lots of locals there in family groups. They also sell their own coffeebeans. This bistro/cafe was located just off the main shopping street, half-way down on the way to the square. Hope you enjoy

Myself and friends go every month from inland Spain. At home we always eat in spanish bars and restaurants ,so when we go to Gib we eat at the Clipper Inn in Irish Town, but although it has an extensive menu, and the quality and quantity of the food is suprisingly good ,it is a "pub " with pub ambiance, not anywhere special or up-market,but it depends what you want. For us as a welcome break it's more than adequate and extremely reasonable.
