I am trying to find a recipe for Caramel Shortbread which take 4 hrs when completing the caramel filling part.

Anyone help please?

Are you looking for caramel flavoured shortbread or shortbread with a caramel topping? If it is the latter, then try searching for millionaires shortbread, which is shortbread with a caramel and chocolate topping.

Heston Blumenthal's recipe is available at TimesOnline. Haven't tried it myself, but it looks good!

Here is my recipe, you will find it on this thread. It doesn't take 4hrs to do but is very tasty and a popular one with the kids I used to teach.
