Jeni - where do you get your clothes? You always look so fantastic and stylish. Would love to know where I can buy your style.

Jeni was on the lunchtime showing so I would think she will be in the evening repeat, unless they can cut her out somehow.

I am currently out of the country in USA, for the last 2mths, and I just logged. Can someone tell me is Jeni still presenting the show? Without her the show cannot run, I mean she is the best presenter by far, I hope she is still there!!!!!!!

I started to watch GFL when it started and enjoy the content and guests but as time went on Jenni grated more and more until now I only watch if a guest presenter is on the programme.

In my opinion, and at the end of the day that is all it is, she is overpowering. She does not appear to listen to guest chefs and is constantly interrupting with facile comments. \When she does need to make an informed opinion of the food all we get is an overblown OOOOOOOOHHHHHH Maaaarvelllous without any explanation. We cannot taste the dishes, we are relying on her to give us some idea of why she appears to enjoy them. Maybe she should watch Sky One's Taste to see how a presenter should behave.

I miss the regular chefs, Simon Rimmer, Paul Hollywood etc etc but simply cannot get past the overblown, over loud, Ms Barnet who absolutely does believe that it is "her little show" to quote Morecome and Wise.

Please please please either persuade her to tone it all down a bit or preferable have a new presenter. Angry

I don't really enjoy the show as much if Jenny isn't presenting it I think some of the choices they have made for presenters when Jenny has been off have been terrible, the chefs they have had presenting have been good and the funny guy.... can't remember his name he's on Hi Lo club he was good too but didn't and don't think much to Merilise Parker (don't know how you spell her name!!) and is it Julie Peasgood she was awful. So We love you Jenny keep it up your great.

I agree with you pm13. I dont watch GFL anymore because I hate the way Jeni keeps interrupting the guests with silly comments. I am sure she is a really pleasant person to work with but she can be a bit overpowering at times when presenting.

As for her clothes, nice as they may be I do wish she would cover her top half a bit more. Sorry but close up shots of her cleavage just dont do it for me.

I think Jeni is great she really is refreshing and brings a whole new meaning to food for me. I love it when she is presenting.
Carry on Jeni you are great.

She is very talented but has annoying habits. For example, she always interupts especially when a chef is about to say an important stuff. And sometime she acts like a child (old habits never die ehSmile other than that, she is great. If you are reading this Jenny, please change

The show is just not the same without Jeni. I have watched this week when she has been on holiday and, nice as Simon is, he is not Jeni. He is a great chef though and I love his dishes.
Hope you had a nice break Jeni, but can't wait to have you back

I think Simon has done a great job this week. Considering he is first and foremost a chef whereas Jeni is purely a presenter I think Simon has had a great rapport with the chefs and continued some of the cheeky banter that Jeni is well known for. He had his work cut out with Nancy Lam yesterday though. I think it's much better when they get chefs to stand in for Jeni especially Frank Bordoni and Gino, together with Simon they make a great stand in team.

I actually thought that Simon made a very refreshing change. He has a lovely relaxed manner, knows what he's talking about and most of all is very, very funny. I normally forward wind through parts of the programme, but watched every minute while Simon was hosting. I can't understand why people on this messageboard wont give anyone else a chance and see the programme as the Jeni show rather than GFL. Oh and by the way, if people are going to comment about Jeni, PLEASE, PLEASE can you spell her name properly. Well done Simon, I thought you were terrific - by far the best stand in host to-date.

The only thing about Simon is that he talks too fast. Both him and (I think) Nutter, speak so quick that I cannot understand what they're saying. Maybe its a Southern thing! Great chefs though.

I agree, they do talk fast. It can't be just a Southern thing, I'm from Scotland and have trouble with some of the accents. The other thing I find extremely annoying is when chefs use phrases like "like so" in every other sentence, it makes me feel like switching the programme off

Although I would still say I am a Jeni fan, I have noticed that recently she doesn't always seem to be listening to the chefs. They will say (for example) fry for 5 minutes, and 5 seconds later she will ask "how long do you fry that?" Also, is it just me, or is there tension between her and Lotte? I first thought this a while ago, they did a comparison on gelatine and arrowroot. Jenni seemed to steamroller through it, and Lotte appeared v. ticked off that she was racing through. Watching them again yesterday, it all seemed a bit too reserved and polite. Ms Barnett must watch out - Simon Rimmer did a great job standing in last week!

On another subject, following on from accents - have you noticed how many times Andrew Nutter says "actually" or "actual"? I counted once and gave up after he said it 5 times in one sentence!

I agree with Missy Moo. Jenny never seems to listen, always clowning and interupting. Sometime when i want to hear the important bits, she just interupts and it gets annoying Angry I hope she addresses these little problems, chefs would hope so too. Other than that, she is a great presenter.

i think jenni is great and wish there was a few more chefs on the show ,hosting with jenni like it used to be,i miss simon as he,s not on enough, neither is paul hollywood,i know you have to give the new chefs a chance .what has happened to the friday live with an audience that was great,is that not coming back either.i also wish gfb was back i think food uncut is boring and when they showed the first half twice last week and no apology, i wasn,t happy Mad Frown

The show is not the same without Jenni. She is the show!
Liked the lamb dish with aubergines today. Missed the doughnut recipe though.

May I beg to differ about Jeni? Although her enthusiam is to be applauded, her eating habits - especially with Tuesday 11th's doughnut-like desert - are deplorable! As if - mouth full of food, wide open and talking wasn't bad enough - cream and sugar up her nose! Not a pleasant visual experience. Had to switch off!
A good programme like this needs a presenter who listens to the guests and doesn't interrupt with her megaphonic tones!
