Hi Porridge... I'm fine... you ok? I've been staying away from these boards for a while... they started to get way too personal for my liking! Anyway... nice to hear from you and yes... I'm really looking forward to seeing Stuart tonight. It makes it more interesting when you (sort of) know someone!!!

Saw the programme Stuart and both my husband and I thought your food should have taken you through, never mind you did really really well. Smile

That has to have been the poorest and lowest standard round yet. Difficult decision for the judges as none of them should have been there in the first place. How bad can this get?

Well done Stuart.... I still don't quite understand what gets people through to the next round Confused Your chicken looked great.... you were best in the kitchen.... you did yourself proud!

Being able to cook helps, no disrespect Carol, but neither of you did anywhere near the standard required. I would not even enter a competition I knew I had no chance in, and I couldn't keep drawing attention to failure afterwards if I did.

Hi Stuart, I thought you did really well and you looked the best main course wise to me, I can't believe that girl got through with what looked like a dogs dinner, but they had some nice things to say about you which must be nice for you to have heard. I thought you seemed a lovely guy and should try again next year. Tell me, what did you do to your finger?

Exactly.... you're young, fit and healthy..... maybe missing a finger tip!!!! Big Grin You should be encouraged... it was so close... when I mean so close, I mean the judges said it was so close... I thought you should have gone through... seriously!

I really do question their decision making process. YES, being able to cook basic ingredients well is important, but I also think the Pro Chef round is important.

I don't think they take this into consideration as much as they should.

OK his bread was cut too thick but the idea was there and he was willing to use offal.

I was suprised nobody made a classic Chowder or even a Cullen Skink with those ingredients in the elimination round.
