Add some Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur. I tried this drink yesterday and I'm addicted. Mmmm.

It should look cooked, but after a few minutes out of the oven, it will sink in the middle, this is ok, and will be filled with cream.
It's one of my favourite desserts, and I serve it with raspberries.

yes I have, and its delicious. Its not too sweet either, and very light. It does sink in the middle a bit, and thats why the whipped cream is piled on the cake, but unless you want to eat it in one sitting, the cream is best served seperately, and with a few raspberries.

Big Grin Asolutely delicous - we have now used this cake as an adult version of a birthday cake on three occasions with outstanding success. We have used Tia Maria or Kaluhua rather than Cointreau (and lots of it). Our friends & family now ask for it when they visit.

Big Grin

I absolutely love this cake! It's moist, soft, rich and deeply satisfiying. I first made it a while ago, but I never followed the recipe to the dot before. I always use a different chocolate to what is in the recipe. Last time I made it I actually used cadbury's milk chocolate 250g and it was an absolute hit with all of my family and friends. It was very sweet, which is what appealed to them (yeah we all got sweet tooths)

This time round, I made it without sugar and sugar-free chocolate. Canderel's dark/rich chocolate 250g and splenda granulated instead of sugar.

It didn't turn out as sweet, obviously, but with Canderel's milky sugar free chocolate melted and spread over the top as a form of icing, it's a delicious taste temptation and no sugar!

I like it microwaved for about 20 seconds so it gets nice and warm and the icing melts.

Does anyone know how many calories are in Nigella's original cloud cake?
