I'm trying to find out the general consensus here. I have mixed guests for lunch & couldn't decide what meat to serve. I didn't include turkey because I don't like it.

Do you think you could help me decide by stating which would be your choice?

Out of those 4 choices I would have a joint of beef and also a joint of pork. The same vegetables will go with both meats and yorkshire pudding can be served with pork as well. Any left overs can be sliced and frozen with the right quantity for a meal in the future. If there are only a few of you and you want to push the boat out go for roast rib of beef on the bone. It's lovely.

Funny I thought about roast rib as well last night & my sis thought it's yummy! Last count there are 11 adults & 3 children so I've to shop around & see where would be the best price for it. Next of course is to find out how to cook it to perfection as I've never cook one before.

I'm also toying with the roast duck idea...hhmmm.

If you are in the north west I can recommend a good farm with very good prices.

Thanks sarahlee but I live in London. Frown Hopefully I'll find some reasonably priced rib of beef around.
