How long do I leave a joint of beef to rest, before carving it for a Sunday lunch?

Hubby says to leave it for 10 minutes, I thought it was 30 minutes.

Please advise?

It really depends on the size as well, I would split the difference and say 20

To be honest, I would say if in doubt then leave it longer rather than shorter time... it will hold it's own heat in well and relax as it does. I suspect that yoiur hubby is trying to speed up the process to get his gnashers on his delicious dinner sooner rather than later Big Grin

I go with Baiji and Brian Turner, 20 minutes.
