Can anyone recommend restaurants and or hotels in the Milton Keynes area. Having a family birthday soon and MK is the most convenient area for guests who have to travel. As we do not know the area some helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd definately recommend Spooners restaurant in Woburn Sands for a family meal. Really relaxed with excellent quality of food and service.

Milton Keynes - who would want to go to Milton Keynes. Surely there is somewhere a bit nicer than MK??? If you don't know the area stay away please.

Milton Keynes is a nice place it simply has a bad reputation. I would suggest The Birch in Woburn Sands.

Veronique I could not agree with you more. We have visited Milton Keynes several times this year and think it is an unusual but very nice place. After a family conference we have in fact booked lunch at the Birch.

We intend to try Spooners on our next visit.
