Where does Jeni keep going? i love the programme, but find it hard to watch without Jeni presenting. And just lately she seems to be away more than ever.
I've now taken to watching "Taste" while she's away, it's an excellent show!

Jeni has been poorly for the last few days as she was a couple of weeks ago. I hope it is nothing too serious and that she gets well soon. As for the programme, I find it much more entertaining with the 2 chefs presenting rather than other presenters like that Richard bloke, of course the programme is not the same without Jeni but I wouldn't go as far as saying it is unwatchable without her.

Sorry but in my mind if something is hard to watch it is unwatchable, sorry if it means something else in yours!

Would love to discuss the ins and outs of "unwatchable", but fortunately, i have life and must get on with it!

I don't think Jeni loves us any more, her adoring fans. However, if she is poorly, hope she gets better soon. But I think the other chefs are doing a great job and as rday says, much better than that stupid Richard bloke!!!

Only saw a small part of yesterday's show: who was the ghastly little prissy bloke doing the presenting? Simon Rimmer looked like he wanted to thump him.

I don't know why they didn't let Simon do the programme on his own,the other fellow was a real passenger wasn't he. Simon and Silvana were a lovely duo. Nice muffins too Big Grin

I saw all of yesterday's show and thought the man in the glasses was lovely. Jeni's bound to be away every now and then and it's always a shame but nice to see some fresh faces. I thought he was gorgeous actually. Cheeky

Why are we asked to put our thoughts on the message boards, when as soon as they appear they are taken off by whoever? I sent a criticism about Simon Rimmer on yesterday's show earlier. Do they not like criticism, only praise? Surely we have a right to say what WE think and not just what THEY think.

I totally agree with you - I replied to someone who was asking where she could get Marrons Glace from - I tried twice to reply, but both times, my message was deleted. It has happened to me before and I just don't understand it. If any of the GFL team read this, please could they put up a list of subjects that we are not allowed to discuss or names that we are not allowed to mention - it would make life a lot simpler.

Stefan (i think that's his name), the bloke with glasses, used to present on the first series of Full on Food. Whilst he is not Jenni, i did find him watchable, and a decent presenter! He used to be quite a laugh on full on food, and i hope we see a bit more of him on GFL. But Get Well Soon Jenni - still miss ya.

So that's whats happening to unwanted messages?! Thanks Mrs Pud and Gaile. I responded to one who wanted a simple cake for her birthday girl and gave a dead easy Nigella recipe. By the time I checked to see if it got through, zilch! .. I thought I was going nuts! I suppose this msg will disappear too. Susan Roll Eyes

I liked Stefan too. He seems to have a bit of depth to him and I liked him on Full on food - he has a bit of an edge. sometiomes its nice to see someone who's not always grinning at me.

Re removal of posts. Although it's never happened to me on this site, I think some guidelines would be helpful. Generally on most well run fora, they don't allow copyright infringements, invasions of privacy or general insulting or abusive behaviour. Some don't even allow the posting of external web links. Some moderators draw different lines to others, but the people that run the sites could be consdered liable for its content and therefore have to be careful what appears on its boards.
I was away from these boards for a few monnths and noticed when I came back that the "off topic" board had been done away with. Was there a story to that?

All I did was mention a couple of stores where Marron Glaces could be bought - nothing rude or abusive, no copyright problems, so what happened to my posts?? Seemingly it's OK to criticise Stephan, who I thought was very good, but you can't mention the name of a foodstore - bizarre!
