this isn't foody chat well it is in a way, but i need to know!!! i started driving lessons on the 2nd october after 14 years, and wow they are easier than way back then, but i must say after 2 hour lessons i'm starving but when i get home i can't be arrised to cook, i need instant food when i get home, the lessons so far are between 11am and 1pm (peeps in cambridge beware lol) but as soon as i walk through my front door i can't be bothered to cook anything, but i normally fancy a bacon buttie but even that is to much to do, i just end up having a couple of ciggies and a cup of tea, but my belly is saying feeeeeeeeed me, but i can't feed me cos i feel like jelly when i get through me door (btw lessons are going really well) but someone helpppppppppppp me, i thank you Smile

Hi tina....you should have a ciggie....a cup of tea....let your legs return to normal....then treat your adrenaline pumped body to a junk food takeaway! This will soon have you returning back to normal whilst filling your belly at the same time! LOL

Good luck anyway tina....it is nerve wracking....I just wanted to down a bottle of plonk each time I had a lesson....something cheap and cheerful that took away the edge....anyway, take care tina AND Cambridge!

Just kidding Big Grin

unfortunately me junk food shops don't open till 5pm lol goldie Roll Eyes so's i just have a cup a soup and a few slices of bread with loads of butter Embarrassed but its not what i want waaaahhhhh Wink mosey i'm not even thinking about the dreaded test, but i did a trial of the theory and passed that Big Grin wish it'd had been the actual test cos i have failed since then Frown but girls and boys i need instant food cos i am always starving and shaking lol @ goldie got it in one about the adrenalin Wink ciggies got another story about them.....

smoke too much i know but when i couldn't find my brand new pack this morning blamed my eldest cos he hates smoking Wink good thing, but i had to go buy some ciggies and accused eldest of hiding my cigs and he went off on one saying he didn't have anything to do with them..... later find out its the OH who took em by accident and laughed when i told him that me and me eldest argued, eldest is nearly 6ft i'm 5ft 1in and i was frightened so told eldest to leave the house til he'd cooled down (after he left i believed him, cos i know my kids, but i've never felt scared of my eldest like i did today) i have apologised to my son but (not father of my kids i hae to add) OH is with his kids this weekend so he reckons he got off from nicking me fags and making me and MY son have an argy bargy, in his dreams, me and my big baby boy said sorry to each other tearfully i have to add Cry

but enough about that i need some instant lunches, that don't include the local chinese Wink Hug

Honey, why not make a stir fry - if you make sure you have everything in your fridge it takes mins - use lazy garlic, ginger and chilli and just add veggies and chicken or beef, soy sauce - yummy!

Tina I passed my test this year and the trick is to take the lessons slow, I had mine one hour every two weeks. I failed twice towards Xmas last year, but passed at the beginning of this year. So Tina my advice, take it slow don't think about your lessons and only do one hour at a time! Hug

hiya

enz i remember you passing your test hun Big Grin i am taking 2 hour lessons cos i want them, and one hour in my life goes too quickly (36 y/o biddy Big Grin ) i'm not even thinking tests as yet and trev my instructor is lovely and patient but says after my last pro lesson being 14 years ago i'm doing pretty well for somene who's scared lol

stir fry sounds good but i got to be organised and get the meat out of the freezer the night before my lesson, i think i might invest in a slow cooker and put sommat in the night before when i'm doing the evening meal for the family and students and switch it before bed, so's when i get home i have something already cooked, tbh i have loads of meals in the freezer that i have made but because i can be or i am a dozy mare i never wrote on the package to say whats in it, so when i defrost sommat it could be just chicken/beef stock or a curry etc, its such a gamble lolol, i have loads of little bags in the freezer like nigella , except my aren't labelled Frown

Tina6 can't even be bothered to make a bacon buttie? Wants other *recipes*? This is nothing more than attention seeking.

Good for them! I agree, is it about driving lessons, convenience food or family violence?

Easy there, it's just a topic of conversation, no need for aggro!

Tina, like a lot of women of today are fab at producing great meals for the family (and students) just a but slow at caring for themselves.

Tina, you dozy mare, make your bacon buttie, put it in the fridge, then heat it up in the micro when you get in. Simple.

Then cut down on the fags and the wine and all will be fluffy bunnies again. (you do know that smoking makes you cough and can make you snort too)

Why don't you put a potato in to bake (maybe on a lower heat than normal if you're out for two hours) and then you'll get home to a really comforting smell. Have some fillings ready in the fridge ......et voila! Smile

IMHO the best idea so far goes to Fudge's Mum for the potato idea.

The problem is, how do we train Tina to remember to turn the oven on before she goes. Difficult one this.
