Didn't it come with a recipe book or leaflet? If so I would recommend you try some from that till you get to know the machine and then start experimenting when you have some experience with it.

Try making walnut bread using the Panasonic recipe for walnut and raisin. Leave out the raisins [obviously!!] and replace with same weight of walnuts - total of 100gm walnuts if my memory is correct. Chop till most are fairly small for best flavour and put in dispenser. Use 2 tblsp walnut oil instead of butter. Very delicious!

The recipes they give you work very well.

Make onion bread easily by adding dried onions to a recipe.

Add mixed seeds to a wholemeal recipe, small in the tin [eg poppy, linseed, sesame] and larger such as sunflower and pumpkin in dispenser.

Instead of vit C tablet in 100% wholemeal, add 1 tsp lemon juice [bottled is fine]. I get a beautiful light and well-risen 100% wholemeal this way - amazing!!

Panasonic Rules, OK!!! Big Grin

Our family favourite adaptations include:

For white bread recipe ..
- add cocoa to taste, for chocolate bread.
- add green or red pesto for wonderful herby bread (adjust oil content down to compensate for the oil in the pesto).
- use olive oil and chopped fresh rosemary.
- add chopped Kabanos sausage for a savoury bread (serve warm) which is fabu with soups. Remember to reduce the oil content as the sausage will release oil.

For wholemeal bread recipe ..
- add a mashed banana and mixed spice (adjust liquid down a notch to compensate for banana juice, or it gets too heavy).
- add crushed seeds like pumpkin and sunflower.
- add sultanas for fruit bread.
- add honey and chopped walnuts for a winter teatime bread.

Have fun experimenting!
