Hi all,

First of all, is there any difference between these two? My recipe calls for poussins but I have been told that Spring Chickens is the same thing.

Additionally, anyone know where I can buy it? I live in South East London (Bexleyheath, Kent).

Thanks,

Andre

And they have no meat on them at all.

and as they are young, they are full of taste, a more delicate flavour, most supermarkets and good butchers should sell them .

Agreeing with Snoozy, I had poussin with a chilli sauce on Wednesday night and it was delicious and had plenty of meat on it for me, fab (bought from Waitrose).

Such a shame to put a chilli sauce on poussin or spring chicken, maybe it was past it's best? Try a nice gentle and fresh lemon sauce or light mushroom one next time and see if you like that, lots of fresh summer vegetables like new potatoes, broad beans, peas and sweetcorn.

personally i love chilli sauce on most things and as with most foods what ever they may be as long as the sauce doesnt overtake the flavour of the meat and enhances i really doubt that what ever sauce you use will spoil the main product.

Most supermarkets do them these days, I agree with baiji and wouldnt put chilli sauce on them, these days chilli sauce seems to be the new ketchup, chuck it on everything and it goes down well.
