My partner and I are just about to open a small restaurant in Cornwall with a Greek/Turkish/Mediterranean style menu. We've got the obvious standard lines included, but are searching for something "different" that you wouldn't normally see, for example, my personal favourite is a Turkish dish called Lamb Tandir, but until we go back to Turkey, which won't be for some time with a new business to get going, I don't know how I'm going to get this recipe. Any suggestions will be seriously considered and if anyone happens to give us a real WINNER, then we'll invite you in for a free meal for 2! Thanking you in advance, Debbie.

Just did a quick search for you - have you tried looking on allaboutturkey.com in the cuisine section? There's a recipe for Lamb Tandir (amongst other things) on there.

Good luck with your venture and who knows, maybe I'll visit for a meal one day (have in-laws in South Devon). Whereabout's in Cornwall is your business - can you post the name/address and let me know when you're due to open?

Sorry it's been a while for a reply, but we have been so, so busy getting up and running. Everything's going fantastically at the moment, we certainly weren't prepared for the way things have taken off, still we'd be moaning if we were still sitting here twiddling our thumbs!!
Anyway, the name of our restaurant is Peppers Taverna, situated in Castle Street, East Looe, Cornwall, PL13 1BA. We believe we are the only Greek restaurant in Cornwall!! So if you are ever passing this way, pop in! I'm going to put a post on the restaurant section as well. Plus yesterday we found our first review on another foodie website - we were given 5 stars (top marks)! I hope it doesn't seem like I'm bragging too much, but after less than 6 weeks, I'm chuffed to bits! Thanks for your suggestions, it's been a bit like a kid in a sweet shop though, so many loveley ideas!!
