Hi, I'm a new girl. What a brilliant forum! Does anybody know what "sambal oelek" is ?(It may also be spelled "olek" I guess). I found the ingredient in a recipe on a Swedish website when I was looking up some new recipes for "lovbiff" (beef olives, well sort of but not). I think it may be quite spicy and possibly used indonesian cooking... Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated, esp. on where I can buy it here.
