Do you put a cross in the stalk end of them to make sure water gets right in Frexy? Oh and while they are bubbling away I have found something to do.

Do your parboil Crystal - I just usually stir fry but they tend to be too crunchy - love crunchy but there is something amiss

Hi Nash the dragon, have got a recipe for sauted sprout with bacon and chestnuts (christmas recipe). I left out the chestnuts as not to my taste this was a tasty new treat and very different to boiled sprouts my son & partner couldn't get enough. will pass on recipe if you would like. Smile

I really love sprouts too but I have yet to find a frozen one I like I'm afraid - they are a little too spongy for me. I suppose they could be ok if just de-frosted and then stir fried maybe? Don't know - but they're not for me.

Personally, I quite enjoy the break from them because then when they get back in the shops I buy loads and can pig out on them! Big Grin What a saddo eh? hee hee

LOL Nash,I think if aunt bessie did sprouts, they'd have to be coated in batter.....ummm,now there's a thought Big Grin

Seriously, frozen sprouts are just as good as unfrozen ones (ha,ha) I didn't know how to describe them.
You can eat them all year and I tend to cook them a little longer than normal. They are ok

The bubble and squeak cakes sound lovely snoozy!!

Can't say I share your enthusiasm for them but how about a sprout, bacon and chestnut soup? Don't have a recipe as I tend to make soups up on the spot.
