I need to buy a new food processor and am looking for recommendations. Mine is a Braun and I understand that they are no longer making them therefore I can't get replacement parts. I relied on it quite a bit so I am looking one for one that is versatile and has to have a mini chopping bowl!!! Anyone help

Snap. I don't know what ours is, but it wouldn't make a stale torn ciabatta into bread crumbs when I needed it to recently.

Please help Sugarpuff and I learn by your mistakes/successes?

Thanks in advance!

Magimix is the Rolls Royce but expensive.

Mine's a Braun Combimax 650 and I find it brilliant.

Hi Sugarpuff - there are so many out there you'll probably get loads of opinions on this one. I've just bought a Kenwood FP698 and it's brilliant. 900W with loads of attachments and storage for cutting discs and I only paid 79.00 for it at Argos (usually around a hundred in most places). Love it!

I have a Magimix, which has lasted for years, with new bowls ever 3 years or so, gets a lot of use. My advice would be to buy the most powerful that you can afford, I make bread in mine so it gets a real hammering. Smile

You make bread in your food processor Chef de Maison? How, pray?

Mary - I suspect chef uses the mixer to make bread dough rather than making the bread in it! I was going to put a 'big grin' in then but my icons aren't working. boo hoo

Only time I tried to make jam in my breadmaker I ended up with a sticky mess.
So back to the jampan.

I do mine by hand Chef ... it's very therapeutic! I make bread at least twice a week, I don't own a breadmaker. Shame really because I could make jam if I did (allegedly).

I've had a Tefal for years and it's still works. I do sharp the blade from time to time. They make one with a glass bowl now, maybe it's called a Ronda . Judy
