Iam looking for any idears on some boar i've got.
I thought about a pie or a casserole but still not sure.
I did think about cooking it with some cider and apples what do you think?

wossie, if you type 'wild boar' in the search box above and select 'recipes' from the drop down menu you will find there are several recipes for wild boar on this site. Why not give one of them a go? And let us know how it went, won't you?

I had wild boar in a trattoria last week , they braised it with some red wine & porcini mushrooms and served it with polenta & gorgonzola. Was heavenly!

Roasted mine last week just like pork but cooked it a little bit less. It was lovely.

Many thanks for your suggestions everyone, but i'am going to stick to my original idea and do a boar pie cooked in cider and apples.I shall let you know how it goes with the rest of my battle commanders on sun 12th dec.
